E. Rebecca Carr MA, LMFT, RPT-S

Rebecca is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She works with individuals, couples, adolescents and families. Life transitions, adjustment to marrriage as well as to divorce, and grief and trauma are common themes with her clients.

Cognitive behavioral therapy as well as hypnosis, guided imagery, and meditation are tools that Rebecca uses to help her clients relax and alter negative states of being, such as depression and anxiety.

Rebecca is trained to use play as a medium for communication with children from 3 years of age and older, as well as their parents. Currently she is supervising and consulting with therapists who use play therapy and actually seeing children 10 years of age and older. Rebecca feels that helping a child is building a better adult for the future.

Rebecca received her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary. She is married and has two adult children in their twenties. Rebecca is a member of the Indiana and National Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the Indiana and International Association for Play Therapy.  She held board positions for several years on each of the afore mentioned Indiana associations.  Rebecca is also a clinical member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. (ASCH)

Rebecca accepts Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United, Sagamore, Indiana Health Group, and New Avenues insurance.  She takes cash, checks or credit cards for therapy sessions.
